Help my sister Alakhe walk again.
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Louise and I'm fundraising to get surgery for my sister in the hope of her walking again after 11 years.
Eleven years ago, Alakhe suffered a terrible fall that shattered not only her ankle but her entire life. Since that day, nothing has been the same. She’s endured two surgeries, both leaving her in more pain than relief. The first surgery, meant to repair her broken ankle, failed miserably. The second surgery, a desperate attempt to fuse the ankle, only ended in more heartbreak—both screws broke during the healing process, and the ankle never fused properly.
Each day, she battles excruciating pain with every step, trapped in a body that won’t heal. Her once active life has been reduced to just managing to get through each day. The hope she had after each surgery has been shattered, leaving her feeling defeated and exhausted after more than a decade of suffering.
Now, she faces one final, complicated surgery—this time, they will take bone from her pelvis and graft it into her ankle, replacing the broken screws, praying that this attempt will succeed where the others have failed. The emotional and physical toll of this journey is unbearable, but it’s her only chance to walk without pain again.
Alakhe is heartbroken, scared, and overwhelmed, but she still holds onto a thread of hope. She needs help to make this surgery happen—help to finally heal and move forward. Every donation, no matter how small, brings her one step closer to a life without pain.
Please, help her take that step.
