Donate to help my nephew receive his glass eye
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Amber and I am fundraising for my Nephew Braxton who was in a unfortunate accident with fireworks on New Years. A mortar was accidentally ignited and it blew up in his face. He was rushed to North Collier Hospital but the damage was too extensive. He was then transferred to Bascom Palmer Eye Institute for the care he needed. Braxton had to have an Enucleation surgery to remove his eye globe(eye ball.) The surgeons were successful to rebuild the soft tissue and reconnect his optic nerve. This is the first of possibly multiple surgeries he will have to have. In the future, his glass eye will move and look like a real eye but he will never regain vision in his right eye. Braxton just moved back home and unfortunately he didn't have health insurance yet. Needless to say the bills are going to extensive. His parents are working with the hospital to hopefully receive grants and scholarships to help absorb some of the costs. Any donations will go towards him getting a glass eye so he can proceed with a normal life. Braxton is a very special person who is always wanting and willing to help others. When he was in Seattle, he worked in the schools with the ESE kids. He enjoyed it very much! He has always been there for his family and friends and now is our time to be there for him. Braxton is musically inclined and a artist, always able to make something out of nothing and enjoys the great outdoors. He is still in high hopes of getting his Captains license and sharing his knowledge of fishing with others. Even with this life altering event he still remains positive. Donations will help him but so would your prayers. Thank you for taking the time to read this post and God Bless
