Hi all, my name is Crystal Hunt. My husband Timothy Hunt was born with congenital aniridia. This is something that causes the absence of an iris, which makes him legally blind. He has always beaten the odds of being blind and was able to attend regular education in school, graduate high school, college, and further his education to getting a Masters degree. Tim is able to work full time at Greenup County Schools and he is able to drive himself everywhere he needs to go, do to being a bioptic driver, basically he has fancy glasses to help him see to be able to drive. As time continues, Tim’s eyes have been getting worse, he has cataracts in both eyes and is a candidate for the FDA approved procedure that is able to give him his very own Iris’. This procedure is medically necessary for Tim to be able to continue living his life like he’s always done. Unfortunately due to insurance providers that he and I have, they wont cover this type of procedure. As much as this pains us to do, we need help. This procedure is ridiculous expensive, but something that he is in desperate need of. Rather it’s $1 or $100, everything is appreciated from the bottom of our hearts. My husband has been a teacher for many years, he’s been a friend to those who needed it, he is such a good, genuine, generous guy. Please help us.
