On June 5th, my dad (Peter Dyck) underwent a significant spinal surgery to correct a curvature. The intricate procedure lasted for 15 hours. Fortunately, on June 13th, he was able to return home for his recovery. However, complications arose on the 18th when he experienced intense pain and discomfort, leading him to drive himself back to the hospital. A spreading infection and the need to drain fluids necessitated a second surgery on June 19th, lasting 3 hours. Subsequently, he remained in the hospital until the 24th, finally returning home that evening.
The series of surgeries and extended hospital stays have incurred substantial financial burdens. Additionally, his recovery process is expected to be lengthy, rendering him unable to work for a minimum of 8 months. While we have been providing assistance and will continue to do so, we kindly request your support as well. All funds raised will be allocated towards covering medical bills, essential living expenses, and securing basic necessities during this challenging period.
