This page represents efforts by the Plena Healthcare team to assist Murad and his family following the recent Taree floods.

Murad is an occupational therapist who has worked with Plena Healthcare in various capacities for over six years. He's spent a considerable amount of that time as a team leader for the mid-north coast, but most recently stepped back into a casual role with Plena as he's moved to pursuing his PhD through the University of Newcastle. Murad is a very proud father of 3 (2 boys and 1 girl), loves Taree, and is a very active community participant in the region. His wife is a teacher in the local community.

Murad lives in the Glenthorne area, which sits adjacent to the Manning as it travels through Taree. During the recent flood disaster, his home and 2 motor vehicles were completely inundated with water, such was the magnitude of the flooding. Like many others living in the area, flood damage-specific home insurance is simply not affordable, costing upwards of $45 000 per year in additional insurance premiums.

As an organisation, here at Plena Healthcare, we are all relieved and thankful that Murad and his family are safe however we acknowledge that this is a difficult and challenging time for Murad and his family. As such, we are looking to raise funds, all of which will be given directly to Murad and his family to help them get back on their feet and to assist with the significant remediation costs as a result of the flood.
