#HelpSaveALife | Support My Mother’s Battle with Breast Cancer
My name is Munira Akter, and I am seeking your support for my mother, Momtaj Begum, who is now courageously fighting Stage 1, Grade 2 breast cancer in Bangladesh. She was diagnosed in November 2025 and has already undergone surgery in last month to remove the cancerous tissue. She is now receiving chemotherapy and facing the toughest fight of her life.
My mother has always been my inspiration—strong, caring, and brave. After losing my father, a college professor, to a sudden heart attack ten years ago, she single-handedly held our family together. Now, she needs our strength and compassion more than ever.
My husband, Moinul Islam, is a PhD student at the University of South Carolina, and I am on an F2 visa. We, along with the help of our relatives, have been managing all costs for my mother’s treatment so far, but the ongoing expenses have become impossible for us to sustain alone. Cancer treatment in Bangladesh is extremely costly, and upfront payments for each step make it even harder.
#The_Challenges
My mother still requires six more chemotherapy sessions, targeted radiotherapy, and continued medical care and medications. These treatments are vital for her recovery but come with overwhelming financial costs that is beyond our reach.
#How_Your_Support_Will_Help
Every donation—no matter the size—will directly go toward:
• Chemotherapy sessions
• Targeted radiotherapy treatments
• Life-saving medications and supportive care
• Hospital stays and necessary procedures
Your generosity will help us continue her treatment and give her the fighting chance she deserves. From thousands of miles away, I am doing everything I can to support her, and your help would mean the world to our entire family.
Every contribution matters. Every share helps. Every prayer counts.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read our story and for standing with us during this difficult journey.
