Hiya I’m Catriona and I can use all the help I can get.
It’s my 22nd birthday in October. I’m walking 122kms. 122kms for Morocco, for a country that is one of the most incredible places I’ve ever been. The 6.8 magnitude earthquake in central Morocco has destroyed homes, roads, water systems, killed lots of people and heaps of animals.
many little towns are still without electricity, medical support and shelter. It’s hard to explain how indebt I feel to Morocco, I was met with so much love consistently and as a backpacker I felt like I couldn’t repay the kindness that was dished out to me. Now, there is something we can do.
My mate Abdel is there, he is an incredible person. My sister Anna lived with him and his family for ages. He is in Imlil bringing supply’s to tiny towns with difficult access. Time is of the essence and there isn’t a legitimate organisation we trust right now to help RIGHT NOW. The government is super reluctant to accept foreign aid.
The money we raise will go to Abdel to buy tents as lots of family’s are sleeping outside, medical supply’s and clothing for the winter and rain season coming.
On the 18th I am hiking from Mestia to Ushguli, GEORGIA. It’s 58kms of the 122 and its gonna be a 4 day through hike. The other half I haven’t decided yet!! But I will keep posted as soon as I know!
Cheers for donating❤️❤️❤️
