Hello, my name is Morley Brown. I am 34 years old and I am a mother of 5 children. Today, 10-6-2025, was a normal day for me until it wasn't. My mother-in-law asked me to come pick my niece up from school today. I was already in the area, so it was no issue. After I picked her up, I went to my mother-in-law's house and everything was fine. I was in her home no longer than 5 minutes when she said, "What's all that smoke outside?" OMMMMMGGGG, to hear the words come out of her mouth: "YOUR TRUCK IS ON FIRE" (THE WORST NEWS TO RECEIVE). In the truck was my purse that had my rent money and the rest of the money I had to my name (every dollar gone). My kids' shoes were in there, my driver's license, my kids' SSC, and birth certificates (I never took them back in from football). My children all play sports. My 10-year-old son is on a travel team for football and is now starting basketball. My 8-year-old daughter just started basketball. My other son, 15 years old, plays football and basketball, meaning we travel a lot.
Recently, as hurtful as it is, I lost my jobs, not one but both, one after another. I lost a lot when that happened. Raising 5 kids alone is so expensive, especially not receiving any government help, just working as an STNA, 12-hour shifts, sometimes 7 days straight, to give my family the life they deserve to live. Nothing too much, just fun family things they will always have memories of. I have been working since I was 14 years old. The only time I ever took off was to have my babies when it was time for labor. I have been off work all this time. I've still had to pay rent, gas, electric, water, car payment, and insurance (full coverage & SR22), household items, food, etc. Before I knew it, my checking and savings went down so fast. I had to make a decision to pay my rent or my car insurance. Well, as a mother of 5, I paid rent. My babies have to have a house to call home, so there was no choice but to let my insurance lapse.
Once I got back to working, yes, I planned to get my insurance back, but before that could happen, this charger was defective and caught fire. It had to catch fire as soon as I got out. Please don't buy these chargers. They are fun, and honestly, the only reason I got it was because of my kids. The charger puts stars all over your roof. My girls love it at night. I love it. It has an oil infuser on it which smelled good.
Today, I am making this and asking anyone who can help me to please help. I owe $27,000 on this truck to Navy Federal and I am currently without a vehicle. I am not sure how I will get the kids to practice and games, but I am hoping everyone can come together and help. I am working on getting back to work so I can get my life and my family back to our normal everyday life, but I will need everyone's support. Anything helps. TO GO TOWARD TRANSPORTATION TO GET THE KIDS TO SCHOOL SPORTS FOR ME TO GET TO WORK AND TO HELP WITH ANY RENT OR BILLS HYGINE FOOD.
