Dear family and friends and to anyone reading this,
My name is Mindy Ngo. I am a single mother of one handsome son, Nathaniel. He is my whole life, and he is the reason why I fight to keep going every day.
I am very private when it comes to my health and my life overall. I have always been independent and worked very hard for everything I have, and I am not the type to ever ask for help, so this has been a challenge for me to ask for help.
Last year, towards the end of August, I had gone to Urgent Care because I was having chest pain, and I thought it would be something minor, but it turned out to be much worse than I thought. I was sent to the hospital from Urgent Care due to a severe pulmonary embolism. Both of my lungs were affected, and I had a right pulmonary infarction. I was admitted into the hospital, and they almost lost me, but I was not ready to let go. I fought for my life, and the doctors and nurses were able to bring me back. Facing death was the most life-changing experience I have ever had, and the only thing I could think of was my son. I was not ready to leave him alone in this world.
I have been in treatment for a year, and my medical bills have skyrocketed. I am at the point where I can no longer do this on my own and need help from anyone that is able to help. I know with this economy, times have been tough, and we all feel it. I truly appreciate any help I can get.
I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
