Welcome to our GoFundMe campaign for Mikki, a courageous woman dealing with an unexpected health crisis. Earlier this year, Mikki developed pain, numbness, and sudden weakness in her right leg. Doctors diagnosed her with cauda equina syndrome, a serious condition caused by severe compression of the spinal cord at L3-L4. This condition is a medical emergency that, if not promptly treated, can lead to permanent paralysis, incontinence, and other serious issues. Fortunately, Mikki's condition was diagnosed early, and she underwent emergency surgery to relieve the pressure on her spinal cord. After a period of physical therapy and rehabilitation, she was able to return to work successfully.

Sadly, on May 23rd, Mikki began experiencing worsening symptoms, this time in her left leg. A return visit to the ER confirmed a recurrence of cauda equina syndrome, this time due to spinal cord compression at L5-S1. She is now scheduled for another urgent surgery.

On top of the tremendous physical pain and emotional stress Mikki and her family are enduring, they also face the crushing burden of mounting medical bills. Fear of further medical expenses, on top of her previous surgical and hospitalization costs, even made Mikki hesitate before her recent ER visit. Nobody should have to think twice about seeking medical help, especially in an emergency situation like Mikki's.
