We're reaching out to you on behalf of our friend, Mike Marcinkowski, who was recently diagnosed with Bulbar Onset ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) at the age of 53. ALS is a progressive neurological disease that affects nerve cells responsible for voluntary muscle control, leading to paralysis. Mike's condition, with bulbar onset, primarily affects muscles in the face, head, and neck, often leading to faster disease progression. His life expectancy is approximately 2 years, shorter than the typical 3-5 years for limb-onset ALS.

As Mike and his family confront this challenging diagnosis, they're facing a range of expenses, including medical bills, essential equipment, and home modifications for improved mobility.
