Donate to help Mike and Judith Tipton

Hi, I’m Katie Tipton and I’m raising funds to help out with expenses towards hotel, gas, meals and other essential costs so that my stepmom Judith may solely focus on being with my dad during a difficult time.

On March 28, while vacationing in St. Augustine, FL, Mike (my dad) had a massive heart attack brought on by blockage in the left anterior descending artery (or LAD). He was rushed to Flagler Hospital and transferred to the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. He had a successful mitra valve surgery to fix the mechanics of his heart. He is putting up a fight but still very weak. He has been on and off awake the last day or so, even was able to squeeze my hand yesterday.

While Mike is a meticulous budgeter, one can never budget for a heart attack. One day in the hospital, let alone a week, is incredibly hard both on the patient and the family. He is surrounded by his wife Judith and children who are staying in the Jacksonville area to ensure he is taking the right steps towards recovery. This is no easy task and definitely was not budgeted.

These wonderful donations will be put towards hotel, gas, meals and other essential costs to keep Judith close to her Mike.
