Hi everyone! My name is Alicia, and my dad was diagnosed with stage IV Invasive Squamous Cell Cancer of the tongue in November 2022. He had a very intense surgery 12/9/22 to remove the tumor and affected lymph nodes, and reconstruct his tongue. Margins weren't 100% clear and after surgery, before treatment started, the cancer ended up spreading to his lungs and growing in his neck. He recently spent 5 days in the hospital and went home with a trach to be able to breathe better and requires increased care. He is getting treated at UNC Chapel Hill, an hour from where they live, with radiation twice a day every day Mo-Fr at least 6 hours apart, and chemo once a week. My dad quit working in November so my parents are living off one income. My mom is trying to stay home as much as possible to take him to radiation/chemo and complete trach care and has unpaid FMLA. I am asking for donations to help with medical/utility bills, gas, groceries, medical supplies, stress of reduced income etc. as she is not going to be working as often to keep a steady income. We are continuing to pray for a miracle and believe in a Big God where nothing is impossible for Him. Thank you!
