Hi, I’m Mickey but you know me as Mayhem or Ales. I’m coming from a very vulnerable place to ask for help, something that I don’t tend to do.
On May 9th, I got into a car-totaling accident. I was turning right out of a parking lot when I got hit by a distracted driver going 55mph. Luckily, I got away with only a couple bruises and scratches but before then, I was hit with a random and emergency need to move out of my previous living situation thanks to my old roommate going back on their word to stay another month. All my money went to a new car to continue employment and the move, and I was told misinformation by a new worker at the tow yard where my car was taken.
The worker told me that it would be $200 to hand over my title to them on the white car and I could leave it to them to figure out. I was under this impression for a full month until I called back, ready to pay the $200, and was told that it actually meant that they’d just take $200 off of the total tow. It was originally $450 but day by day, the cost goes up $30, and I am on day 42 of the car sitting in the tow yard.
I am asking for $2000 for enough time to raise money for the tow and to hand the title over to the tow yard.
Usually, it wouldn’t be a big deal, but in the state of Michigan, leaving a car behind in a tow yard is a sure-quick way to get sent to court and eventually, jail.
I can’t afford this random charge on my own since I was unemployed after moving to a large city for two weeks and I have no savings, thanks to it all being given to my new car.
Any help is greatly, greatly appreciated and I am willing to do photography sessions in order to make up for donors. Hit me up on instagram @visionsofmayhem for any further questions.
