Many of you may remember Michelle Grimaldi, now Michelle Ciatto these many years past. She has been my best friend for 35 years. Recently, Michelle was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer and is in a fight for her life. For her entire life, Michelle has been of service to others; her family which includes her husband and children, her church, and her community. She did this quietly and without any desire for recognition. She has never, ever asked for help. She has always been a rock for all. This is her time of need. As she is battling cancer, she is rarely able to work her long held per diem position. While FMLA will allow her to keep her position, this is unpaid. Her dedicated husband Steven, is now too on FMLA from work while he tends to her, the house, and their two wonderful children during this difficult time. He has also had to scale back work for his additional job. The expenses are crushing and financial aid is slow in coming. This is of course exasperated by recent inflation.
Michelle has been a pillar of support to her family, friends, and community. At this time, she needs our help and support. A GoFundMe page has been created and we are trying to raise the money she and her family need to make their most basic bills in the amount of $20,000.
All proceeds raised will go directly to Michelle and her husband Steven. Thank you for your support during this difficult and frightening time. Let's help her focus on the fight to live.
