Donate to Help Michelle, as We Fight Together!

On December 31, 2022 my mother Michelle was taken to Urgent Care at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse for extreme pain in her stomach. After waiting for what felt like forever to see someone it was determined that a CT scan was necessary to find the source of the pain. It was later determined after completing of the CT scan that masses were found in the colon, kidney and liver — a potential cause for concern of cancer in all three organs.

At this point, is was determined that a colon biopsy needed to be done, and it was, it confirmed the worst… Cancer.

Michelle, was then referred to Mayo Clinic Health System Medical Oncology for the diagnosis, and to receive the best care possible from a credible medical facility in cancer treatment; were more consultations and more tests and scans needed to be done; an MRI, kidney biopsy, liver biopsy, and a surgical procedure for a port placement for future treatments.

However, with Michelle being self-employed doing childcare for 25 years, which she happily decided to be done doing at the beginning of last year, (January 2022) that leaves her in a financially troubled position. Anyone who knows my mother knows, that she’s not one to ask for help, and she’s not the kind of person to like all the attention that people sometimes get from others when things like this come about in life, but this is something that I as her oldest daughter of four children, can say I speak for the family on that matter that we can not let her fight this fight alone!

Michelle, has done so much for so many people and their children who have came to her daycare over the last 25 years and for myself as well as my siblings that we as her children are all willing to ask for the help that we know our mom won’t ask for.
