Hello, my name is Victoria Rodriguez and I am

fundraising for my mother, Melissa. Last month, my mom went for a routine colonoscopy & her

physicians found a large mass…we later discovered that she has stage 3, advanced rectal cancer. Anyone who knows my mom knows that she is strong in her faith and we know god is going to heal her from this. Melissa is more than a mother to my brother and I, she’s a wife of 32 years to my father, Rick. She is a loving friend, a daughter, a sister, and she has been a cosmetologist for over 20 years. She loves to make her lovely clients more beautiful & enjoys doing it. Due to the aggressive chemo & radiation she will be receiving during the upcoming months, doctors have advised it would be in her best interest to take some time off of work to limit her exposure to things. Work is what keeps my mother going; she truly loves what she does and it breaks her heart to take time away from her amazing clients who are more like family to her, but we know it’s only temporary & she’ll be back asap. I’m creating this fundraiser to help with any unexpected medical cost to help alleviate some of the expenses so she can fully focus on getting well. Anyone who knows my mother knows that she’d give the shirt off her back to anyone in need, and she’s a complete warrior!
