Hello, my name is Niki and my husband Donavan and I have started this GoFundMe Page to help his Mother and family in Jamaica rebuild from the devastating effects of Hurricane Melissa.

First, Donavan and I want to thank everyone who has reached out with love, prayers, and concern for our family. Your kindness has meant so much during this incredibly difficult time.

My mother-in-law’s roof in Jamaica was severely damaged by Hurricane Melissa. The storm hit her community hard—roofs were torn off, walls collapsed, and families were left without food, clean water and electricity. Sadly, she doesn’t have insurance, and resources are very limited. She has lost so much, but we’re thankful she’s safe.

Currently, It is difficult for Jamaicans to access the necessary supplies to rebuild and meet the day to day needs we all take for granted such as a dry home and food in the cupboards. We’re starting this GoFundMe to help rebuild her home and provide basic supplies like food, clean water, and materials for repairs. In addition, any extra funds raised will go toward transporting dry goods and supplies helping Donavan’s extended family and community, where many others are also struggling to recover from this disaster.

Every donation—no matter the size—will make a real difference. 100% of the funds will go directly toward rebuilding efforts and essential supplies.
