On May 1, 2023, Megan reunited with loved ones on the other side of the veil and entered into the rest of her Lord.
Megan was born November 4, 1993. She was a wonderful gift to Wayne and Jodi Jacobson. The family was later joined by her sister, Madi.
Megan married Douglas Richardson in 2014 in the Salt Lake City Temple. They were blessed with four wonderful children.
Megan fell in love with volleyball at a young age. She played for school and competition teams and continued playing on rec teams with friends. She also coached at Viewmont and West High Schools.
Our sweet Megan had a gentle heart and a great spirit. She was always the one people wanted to talk to and be with because of her gift of empathy. Megan’s “love language” was giving. She loved to give gifts and had a special talent for party planning.
Mental health issues are a silent, deadly disease. Our family pleads with you to understand that help is available and it’s okay to ask.
We look forward to the day we will be reunited with Megan. We are grateful for our faith and testimony that families are eternal. In that sure hope, we say “see you later.”
She is preceded in death by her infant son, Ford, and is survived by her husband, Douglas, and three children: Charlotte (7), Austin (4), and Tessa (1), and by her parents and her siblings.
