Hi, my name is Anna and I’m starting this fundraiser on behalf of my family for Roberto Medina, who is affectionately known as everyone’s “Grandpa”.

As of some of you may know, Grandpa is in Mexico with several other family members for a family event. On November 15, 2023 Grandpa experienced an ischemic stroke at dinner. Thankfully those with him were able to recognize what was happening and called an ambulance right away. He was hospitalized and will stay there for several days , possibly for a week or more.

Many have reached out regarding ways to help. Firstly we ask for everyone to pray for Grandpa - he has responded well to medication and we pray that this upward trend continues. Please also pray that when Grandpa is cleared to fly, he can return safely back to Minnesota.

Secondly, we are raising funds to help offset the costs of Grandpa’s medical care. Receiving medical care in a country with public healthcare system is very different and it is a pay upfront situation. Any financial contributions would be greatly appreciated.
