. My name is Gehan Abu Jayab. I used to run the Modern Childhood Kindergarten in Gaza—a safe haven for learning, laughter, and healing. It wasn't just a school. It was a lifeline for over 200 children, including orphans and families in need.

Today, it no longer stands.

The ongoing genocide has devastated our community. My kindergarten has been reduced to rubble. My home is gone. My family and I are displaced, grieving, and struggling to survive.

The children we once nurtured face unimaginable trauma—hunger, homelessness, and despair. At least 20 of our beloved students were martyred. These were innocent souls, full of dreams. Below are some of their pictures.

Before everything changed, our center offered:

• Safe and loving care for 200 children

• Educational and psychological support

• Nourishing meals, clean water, and essential supplies

• A space to play, create, and heal.

Now, their needs have multiplied. More orphans. More displaced children. More trauma. These little ones are malnourished and frightened—but still yearning to learn, play, and feel joy again.

• Play therapy, sports, and storytelling

• Emotional care and educational tools
