Hi, I’m Bryanna! As most of you know me, I’m always upbeat, on the go and ready for whatever challenges are thrown my way. However, if you have spent any length of time with me within the past couple of years, you know that I often complain about my eyes/vision.
Unfortunately, I’ve been diagnosed with Keratoconus, a developed dysfunction in the Corneas. With Keratoconus, your cornea thins and gradually bulges outward into a cone shape.
Some symptoms include:
- Glare and halos around lights.
- Difficulty seeing at night.
- Eye irritation or headaches associated with eye pain.
- Increased sensitivity to bright light.
- Sudden worsening or clouding of vision.
I have Keratoconus in both of my eyes and as the Keratoconus has increased in my eyes, I’ve noticed my vision has gotten worse. Like a lot of folks, I don’t currently have insurance, and the procedure to correct and prevent further damage costs $7500 per each eye. (WOOF :/) Even with insurance, i'd still be paying for most of this out of pocket.
I'm ready to stop missing out on the details of life. I would appreciate all the help I can get. Even a simple share can help!
