Hi everyone.

My name is Savannah, and after an expensive overnight stay in the animal ER, of my cats (Bean) has just been diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure. He also has a blood clot in his heart and fluid building up around his lungs. This requires 4 medications twice a day, as well as continued monitored cardiology appointments. Currently, he is on Plavix, Salix, Xarelto, and Pimobendan. He needs a second echocardiogram in early November, as well as bloodwork and chest x-rays.

This will be for the rest of his life…….and it has not been cheap so far. The echocardiogram alone is $900. And I’m sure he will need more echos, bloodwork, and x-rays moving forward, since this is the only way the vets can monitor his heart and chest cavity to see if the medications are working.

I’ve used as much of my credit cards as I can and I’m working two jobs to do everything I can to afford his vet care and medications, but the cost has been piling up. I live alone and already have to work to pay my bills, but I’m looking into finding other side gigs and selling whatever I can to try to raise funds for him.

Over the last couple years, my aunt, sister, and mother have all passed. I say that not to be a sob story, but just to say that my animals are everything to me. They have been there for me and I know I have to do everything I can to be there for them. I can’t just let him die. I won’t. We rescued him as a few-week old kitten, and after only a month with his new family, he was returned to us where he’s been ever since. I’m reaching out and asking for help, and any little amount will be so, so appreciated. All of it will be put towards his medical bills, medications, and paying a sitter to help give his medications when it’s unavoidable that I have to be at work.
