My name is Cayden Covington, and I am an 8th-grade student at Hopkins Middle School. I am passionate about both my academics and extracurricular activities, and I am fortunate to have a supportive family that encourages my growth. Raised by a single mother, I also have an older sibling who is currently a sophomore at USC Upstate.
Throughout my academic journey, I have strived for excellence. I am a two-time Quiz Bowl Lower Division Champion and have had the honor of serving as the president of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter at my school for two consecutive years. Additionally, I recently participated in the District Honors Orchestra for RCSD1, earning the fifth chair, and was featured in the Panorama Newspaper for receiving the prestigious MIOS award earlier this month.
In addition to my academic and leadership achievements, I am actively involved in athletics, playing soccer for Lower Richland High School and being part of the football team that won the Championship this past season. I’ve also participated in Mock Trial, which has further shaped my critical thinking and communication skills.
With a deep passion for music, I have been playing the cello for some time, but I am in need of a personal instrument to continue my education and growth in this field. As I strive to advance my musical journey, I am reaching out for support in purchasing a cello. Any donation, no matter the amount, would greatly contribute to furthering my education and passion for music.
Your support would mean the world to me, and I am grateful for your consideration. Thank you for taking the time to read my request.
Sincerely,
Cayden Covington
