Hi, My name is Barbara Cyr, but those of you familiar to me will know me as Devien. I am looking to raise $6200 for the purchase of an adjustable electric bed and incidentals.

I deal with a few chronic illnesses. The most impactful are Fibromyalgia (a central nervous system disorder ) and lung disease. I experience muscle spasm, pain and stiffness, among other things. This is especially true after a period of inactivity. Getting out of bed is difficult in the morning and when I rise in the middle of the night. I have owned an electric bed in the past and raising the head to a upright position made it possible for me to get out of bed with less effort and pain. Also, this made it possible to breath better, and therefore get the rest needed to function and recover. Any money raised above the amount I am requesting will be put towards paying for a glass closet door I broke with my wheelchair and having a badly needed spring cleaning done. This beyond my capabilities and difficult to afford on disability income.
