Hiya, my name is Daniel and I’m a trans guy.

 

That’s not something that I usually start with, and in fact it’s not something that I usually tell people at all but I have reached a point in my life now where I realise I need the help of everyone and anyone to get me to a better place in life.

 

I have known since I was 13 that I was a bit different, and that has manifested into the realisation that my assigned gender at birth is all wrong. I can’t begin to explain how awful it is to experience something like this to someone who isn’t in my position but imagine living your whole life with everyone telling you that you’re something completely different to what you are and you know they’re lying but you can’t explain just how bad that hurts you.

 

My dysphoria has ruined parts of my life, pushed me to self harm and suicide attempts, this Go Fund Me is an aid to get top surgery to ease me into some sort of normality. I live a life of constant mental and physical pain, binding sometimes for up to 16 hours a day and the hell that plays on my chest and my spine is unbearable. Top surgery costs about £7,000 for someone like me (big chest ironically) and as someone who comes from a split household and a hectic life I just straight up cannot afford it myself.
