Hi, my name is Macy Nicholls and I go to West Buckland School in North Devon. In July 2024 I will be embarking on a life-changing journey to Kenya, where I will be working at our sister school for 10 days. My goal is to contribute to the betterment of the local community through volunteering, sharing, and gaining knowledge, making a positive impact on the lives of those in need and hopefully making some new friends for life.

Having always felt a deep calling to serve others, I have decided to dedicate my time and skills to volunteer work in Kenya. I believe in the power of education to transform lives and by supporting me you are investing in the future of these students. This incredible opportunity will allow me to work closely with the local community, empowering them through education, healthcare, and community development projects.

Ways I am going to fundraise myself is by completing a sponsored walk from Minehead to Combe Martin which is the start of the iconic 630 mile South West Coast path with the goal of completing the first three stages in two days. I have chosen this challenge as in my lifetime I would like to complete it entirely. Taking the inspiration from my great grandparents who achieved it in their lifetimes.
