Tax deductible
Hi, thanks for checking out my cause!
I’m Matthew Liang, a full time middle school student and a part time umpire and missionary. My family has been supporting an amazing organization in Cusco, Peru, called Kallarisunchis through PEER Servants. Kallarisunchis has made a real impact in Cusco for the past 26 years, and this July will be my second year traveling there to be part of the team.
Kallarisunchis helps women who are struggling with poverty and abuse. They don’t just offer temporary support, but they actually teach women how to build a better future by providing microfinance and teaching them vocational skills. They also visit the women regularly, offering encouragement and prayers.
They don’t just help women. They’ve started schools and created programs for kids, donating supplies to make sure they have a good place to learn and grow. This summer I will bring lots of Legos there to start a program for kids. If you’re interested to donate Legos, please contact me directly so that I can collect it before July. You may not believe it, but the kids there have never seen Legos.
They also help elderly people and make shelters for them to ensure that they are in a safe environment. I spent time with some of them last year and we will dedicate a day to visit them this year.
Through everything they do, Kallarisunchis help bring people closer to Jesus. They live out the Xaverian Spiritual Value of compassion by helping people come out of poverty and abuse.
The first $1,000 of donations will go toward my July Missionary Trip to Cusco, and 100% of anything beyond that will go directly to helping Kallarisunchis. Every bit makes a difference, so if you’d like to support me, I’d be really grateful. Your prayers are also highly appreciated. I will check this page regularly to see if you have any comments or questions that I can answer.
