Support Matthew’s Road to Recovery After 25 Surgeries – Help Reunite a Father with His Children

Dear Friends and Kind-Hearted Supporters,

We are reaching out on behalf of our dear brother and friend, Matthew, who is currently fighting for his life. Over the past few years, Matthew has undergone 25 successful surgeries, with the most recent being a life-saving liver transplant just a month ago.

His health journey has been heartbreaking. After arriving in Germany seven years ago in search of a better life, he was diagnosed with Hepatitis B just six months later. The disease progressed rapidly, leading to liver failure, and further complications affecting his spleen and kidneys, including the development of kidney stones.

Although the German government has covered the cost of his medical procedures, Matthew now faces new challenges:

• He needs a strict and costly dietary plan, vital to his recovery—one he cannot afford.

• His wife is not working; she is his full-time caregiver, dedicated to supporting him through this difficult time.

Matthew is a father of seven. Six of his children are still in Ghana, living in extremely difficult conditions. Their caretaker is struggling to feed them, and they often cannot afford three meals a day. The children are in deep distress, worried about their father’s rapidly deteriorating condition. All they want is a chance to see him before it’s too late—but Matthew cannot afford to travel back to Ghana, nor can the children afford the cost of visas or tickets to come to Germany.

His eldest son is a student at Ghana Telecom University, but Matthew is unable to continue paying his tuition due to his health and financial situation.

We are asking for your help to:

• Support Matthew’s essential dietary and living needs in Germany.

• Help cover the tuition of his son at Ghana Telecom University.

• Support the daily needs of his six children in Ghana.

• Most importantly, raise funds to reunite Matthew with his children—either by helping them travel to Germany or by funding a return trip for Matthew to Ghana while he still has time.
