This is Marni, they are 21 and in October 2025 they were told they have grade 4 glioblastoma, the most aggressive type of brain cancer. Marni was admitted into hospital after having multiple unexplained seizures early in September.
The neurology team in Glasgow found that they had a lesion on the brain after multiple MRIs and scans. They removed this with an emergency surgery called craniotomy and resection of the intra axial lesion in the left temporal lobe, in which the surgeons managed to remove over 90% of the tumour.
Unfortunately because of this Marni has had to defer from university in Glasgow studying 4th year geology. They are also now unable to work so currently are longer receiving any financial support.
They will be undergoing rounds of radiotherapy/chemotherapy to help minimise the risk of the tumour coming back, starting at the end of October.
The main goal we would like to achieve is being able to help pay for their flat so they can stay in Glasgow to have the treatment they need. Help them not worry about not being “financially stable”.
Their family and friends are urging for your support and any donations are greatly appreciated.
Please help give Marni the most “normal” life they can have.
