Donate to help Maria and her family

Maria suffered a stroke on the evening of March 31, 2022. Two infarctions were found in her medulla oblongata, and both are inoperable. She is currently unable to sit, stand, walk, swallow solids, or even open her eyes due to consistent vertigo. Nurses and doctors are unsure if she will make a full recovery. She will be needing long-term physical therapy, and will no longer be able to work and provide for her family, possibly for the rest of her life, because of the gravity of her medical condition. 


Maria has been in proceedings for a legal separation since 2020 and independently pays for the mortgage, lawyer fees, bills, and her son's education at SFSU. She currently provides housing for her sister and her two children, all of whom count on her for food, shelter, and most importantly, maternal care and unconditional love.

This fundraising is for 4-6 months' worth of mortgage, living expenses, and hospital bills to help the family stay afloat while Maria gets the care that she so badly needs! Maria worked for over 26 years as a housekeeper and her rigorous hard work and dedication have helped sustain her family.
