Donate to Help Madeline & Tessa Keep Costa Rican School Safe

Hi!

We are Madeline & Tessa, and we are twins. Together, we are raising money for a school in Costa Rica for a service project. We had the chance to visit this school, and it was really eye-opening to see how their school life differs from our school and other schools that we know. At the school in Costa Rica, there are only three rooms and a limited number of teachers who have to teach multiple grades. The children only go to school every other day because there isn't enough space or teachers for them to attend school full-time.

We had a chance to meet some of the students and teachers as well. They are so cute and sweet and just want to have a place where they can feel safe to learn and grow. They even sang their national anthem and performed some of their traditional dances for us.

We also learned that the school is subject to frequent robberies, and the last time that the school was robbed, they even took their water tank. Teachers have to bring important or valuable items home with them in order to keep them from being stolen.

Together, we want to raise money for the school to buy a security system that will protect the school from more robberies. Our goal is $4000, based on the quotes that the school liaison has provided.
