Hi, my name is Maddi, and I am fundraising to obtain a psychiatric service dog. Recently, I've been struggling with my mental health, and this service dog will provide psychiatric services and tasks to help maintain my safety. It's important to me that I get support in getting a service dog to help provide deep pressure therapy during panic attacks, help direct me to a safe place when dissociating, and help interrupt destructive behaviors. Psychiatric service dogs have been trained to provide care to those with PTSD, a stress disorder, and other mental health concerns. These dogs are trained to sense impending anxiety attacks, among other conditions, and take action. My goal is to raise enough money to get the service dog, and I would appreciate any help you may be able to offer. It's finally time to gain control of my life and get the support I need. A service dog would be beneficial for me to keep me safe and allow me to live a more authentic life.

As you may have noticed, Captain, my previous dog is no longer able to assist me in what I need. Although I miss him, I’m super excited to welcome Hamilton! He is a boxer mix and just turned 2 years old! His trading is going very well and will be part of my life by the end of 2024!  He is training to be a service dog. He is being trained on how to perform tasks to help Maddi when they are in need. The money raised is to help with his training and his board and care while he is training. $12,500 will be used to train Hamilton and $2,000 will cover the cost of getting him and paying for his first vet visit, along with other expenses that come along with getting a dog.
