Hi, my name is Luis Morocho Vasquez. I am hoping that you can help me. I work in a smoothy shop called Juice Island on 3rd Ave, NY, NY. I have worked there for 13 years with no incidents, am well known by our customers and have been very happy working there. This all changed on the evening of April 12th when I had a customer who was being very difficult and who did not want to pay for her order. When I asked her to please pay for what she ordered, she became extremely irate, took the items, and abruptly left. Before leaving, she stated, she would not pay and would instead come back to kill me. I promptly called the police when she left. The NYPD arrived and said they would look into it, left and did not leave me a report.

The customer came back at around 8:30 PM. My back was to the door, I was alone and she attacked me from behind. She stabbed me about my head, and body a total of seven times. I have three stab wounds on my head and one on my neck and three on my hands and arms. I was taken to New York-Presbyterian / Weill Cornell Medical Center by ambulance. I was admitted and treated for my injuries.

I am a hardworking man, I help support my family in the United States and in Ecuador and they rely on my help to survive. I will not be able to cover all my expenses from this incident and will be unable to work for some time. If you would find it in your heart to please help me.
