Donate to help Lucy's horrible tragedy

Hi, I'm raising funds for Lucy's medical treatment needed as she has recently been through a horrific tragedy.

I rehomed Lucy over a year ago as I was struggling with my mental health and was unable to look after her. At the time I believed I had found her a loving home.

Yesterday I recieved a phone call from a vets in Fife, explaining someone had dropped Lucy off as they had found her at the side of a road with extensive injuries.

The new owner of Lucy had not bothered to update her chip details which is why I was contacted regarding Lucy.

At first the vets thought Lucy may have been involved in a road traffic accident however upon inspecting her injuries closer they were adamant it was not an accident and rather that she must have been attached to a vehicle and dragged at high speed to recieve the injuries she had. She had flesh wounds on her chin, chest and stomach in which her skin was burnt, she had extensive flesh wounds to all 4 of her legs from her toes up to her thighs and armpits. Her toes were that injured on some areas there was no skin left and had been taken right back to the bone. She has broken toes and a dislocated dewclaw.

I have now taken Lucy back and began to help her with her recovery.

Lucy is in extreme amounts of pain but is a little fighter.

I have been advised by the vets that it is going to take a long time for Lucy to recover. She is going to need all of her wounds cleaned and rebandaged every 2-3 days for a number of months which is going to be expensive as she is going to have to be sedated for this due to the extent of her injuries.

All funds will go towards Lucy's vet bills to cover the treatment of having her wounds cleaned and re bandaged along with the medication Lucy needs, she is on 2 different kinds of painkillers and also on antibiotics.

Lucy was in so much pain yesterday that she needed ketamine to help her deal with the pain.

We are just so lucky that Lucy survived this horrible tragedy and hopefully can get her back to full health in the near future.
