Donate to help Lola breathe again

Hi, my name is Elle and i’m reaching out for help. This is our beautiful pug, Lola. She’s 7 years old and the sweetest little soul — full of love, personality, and cuddles. But right now, she’s struggling just to breathe due to a condition that’s restricting her airways more and more.

Over the last few days, Lola’s breathing has become more and more laboured. She wheezes and gasps through her nose, even when resting. We rushed her to the emergency vet, where she spent the night in an oxygen tank and had to be sedated just to help her breathe.

The vets have discovered that Lola has a serious airway condition in her throat, and she urgently needs surgery to correct it. Without this operation, her breathing will continue to worsen — and she could go into respiratory distress again, which could cause her to go into shock and pass away.

The surgery offers Lola the chance to live a normal, comfortable life — to breathe easily, sleep peacefully, and keep being her happy, loving self. But the cost of this life-saving operation is around £4,500, far more than we can afford right now. Although me and my mum are doing everything we can to cover the costs we physically don’t have the funds to cover it all.

A photo of the vet bill from the night we had to rush her to the emergency vets has been included just to highlight how expensive this has already been for us. just to keep her overnight and get her oxygen has costed us nearly £800 already and that’s just going to be the tip of the iceberg.

We’re heartbroken and desperate to help her. Every single donation — no matter how small — will go directly toward her surgery and recovery. Even sharing this page helps more than you know.

Lola means the world to us. She’s our little shadow, our best friend, and our family. Please, if you can, help us give her the chance to breathe again.

We also want to say that we understand how heartbreaking it is that so many pugs are bred to suffer with these kinds of breathing problems. We’re completely against the breeding of pugs and would never support it — we didn’t buy Lola from a breeder. She’s already had a difficult life, and we’re her third owners. Even though we don’t agree with how pugs are bred, we believe that Lola — and all the pugs already out there — still deserve the chance to live and breathe comfortably. She didn’t choose to be born this way, and we just want to give her the happy, healthy life she deserves.

Thank you so much for reading and for caring about our girl.
