Hi my name is Jen and I’m a foster carer for cats and kittens. A wonderful lady adopted two abandoned kittens from me earlier this year, calling them Frodo and Pipin. They are brothers and the sweetest little boys. They have lived very happily since going to their forever home in May 2025. They are now 9 months old and playful joyful kitten teenagers!
Little Pip caused some mischief last week and knocked over a sewing box and ingested thread, unbeknownst to his mum. She noticed he was not himself and had thread coming out his bottom which she tried to remove. Over the next day he got more unwell and was taken to the emergency vet. An x-ray was done and somehow the thread had been caught under his tongue and gone all through his digestive track. Surgery was done and part of his bowel had twisted and had to be removed. Initially it looked like he was recovering ok. But last night he had to have another surgery and it was found part of his bowel has died. He has a 50/50 chance of making it home to his family.
I am asking for any donations to help Pip’s family cover costs of these procedures and staying at the vet for the week to recover. His family will do anything they can to get him home but it costs a lot of money as anyone who has been through having an animal at an emergency vet knows.
Any donations to help cover some of the costs to take the pressure of his family would be greatly appreciated and mean so so much to me as his first (foster) mum.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
*Currently the vet bill as of 2/12/2025 sits at $10,000.00. All funds will go towards the vet bills.
