Help Support Leigh, Dawson, and Their Twin Boys

Hi, I’m Alex, Leigh’s twin sister. As some of you may know, Leigh and Dawson were expecting their twin boys in early December. Unfortunately, early this morning on September 18th, 2024, the babies were born prematurely at 29 weeks in Whitehorse.

The boys are doing as well as can be expected and are proving to be little fighters. Their mom is also a trooper recovering now after an emergency c-section. However, Leigh, Dawson, and their babies will need to stay in Edmonton at the NICU for the foreseeable future—likely until early December—while the boys receive the oxygen and round-the-clock care they need to ensure their proper and full development.

As you can imagine, this has been an incredibly unexpected and stressful turn of events. Leigh and Dawson had both been working full-time and hadn’t planned to go on leave until closer to their due date in December. We’re hoping to raise donations, in any amount, to help them during this challenging time. Our goal is to allow them to focus solely on their babies' health and recovery without the added worry of bills back home.
