Hi, my name is layla. I am a 19-year-old who has two jobs. Which one is face painting at the zoo and a second one is a runner at Saint Arnold . On the side, I babysit and animal sit for a rescue. This car was my whole life since I was 15, I wasn’t able to drive it until I was 17 due to it having issues from it being a bad car from the start. Yet I was still very grateful for the car I had. I had a name for it and I always decorated it - beeper . Beeper was a Chevy cobalt 2006. Half my life was inside that car, photos of me and my friends , body care , items that I Cherished so deeply that are now destroyed.

on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 around 8 PM - I was sent home early from work on my behalf as I had work early tomorrow morning. As I was heading home, I was on the freeway and someone went to a complete stop and I didn’t have enough time to break. To avoid hitting them, I swerved, but my car locked up and began to lose control. I had no control over it, and I slammed into the barrier, causing my car to flip over.

I don’t remember much from hitting the barrier since I did blackout for a minute or two. When I awoke, I was screaming and crying for my mom and dad . People were trying to pull me out the car and I was just so scared I felt alone. As I was successfully pulled out, people came to comfort me and all I could do was ask “ who did I hit? Are they OK?” But I was told that I hit no one in the guy who caused me to hit the barrier ended up driving away. Not even trying to check on me. So I thank those who comforted me and saved me from my trapped car. I have minor injuries, but this memory will stay with me forever.

As I don’t have a car, no more, I won’t be able to make it any of my jobs or my side jobs . Unless I family to take me, which I don’t expect them to do it every single day since I work seven days a week almost 16 hours a day. This money doesn’t need to be 10 K, but I do want a car that won’t put me into more trauma. As beeper has sadly been a huge issue for me these past years and she finally gave up tonight.
