Hi, my name is Jess and I will be fundraising for my bestie and colleague as she goes into her stem cell transplant surgery early January 2026. Me and Lauren both work in Whiston accident and emergency in Merseyside and swiftly became friends as newly-qualified RNs. As Lauren was working she got diagnosed with CML leukaemia, but she hasn’t let this life-long illness stop her. She still comes into work everyday - despite working in ED conditions and the sick public. Lauren truly is my inspiration to be a better person and a nurse on a personal and professional level. Beauty and brains. Her resilience should be studied x
Due to Lauren being a newly-qualified nurse, her sick pay isn’t at the level she needs to stay a float with bills and living costs etc, whilst recovering from her procedure. The least she deserves is to recover in peace without undue financial stress.
If you are not in the financial position to help Lauren, please think about helping her and others in her position by donating a cheek swab to Anthony Nolan to become a possible stem cell donor!
I have attached links below for Anthony Nolan and more information about blood cancer!
Thankyou so much for reading, donating & sharing! ️
