Welcome! As you may know, my sister, Lauren, has a blue heeler named Zeek. He’s just shy of 7 years old, and on January 30, 2024, he was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, which is a very aggressive bone cancer. The treatment plan is that he will need to have his leg amputated, with the hope that will stop the cancer from spreading to other areas of his body. He will begin chemo treatments right away after the amputation. The outlook for this type of cancer and treatment is only an average of 6-12 months even after amputation. If anyone knows Lauren, you know the bond her and Zeek have and how absolutely devastated she is. The Vet bills are just beginning to pile up on this long road to recovery, but we are determined to give Zeek the best time on Earth that he has left!
