Donate to help Larry ‘C.J.’ James

Hi I am Lori Dunbar, C.J.’s mom. C.J. was sadly diagnosed last week (7.31.23) with Proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy in both eyes. On August 1st he was seen by a specialist in Murray Utah. The retina in C.J.s left eye was torn and the right eye was heading that direction. That same day C.J. Received an injection in both eyes meant to slow the growth of the abnormal vessels attaching to his retinas. On Friday the 3rd, C.J. had surgery on his left eye to repair the retina. The Dr. said the right eye would need laser surgery after the left eye heals. We are hopeful he will gain back some of the vision lost in the left eye, but in the meantime he is counting on his right eye to get him through.

Unfortunately, today the 11 of August, CJ is quickly losing vision in his right eye as well. He has an appointment to see the specialist on Tuesday August 15.

C.J. is very concerned with not only losing his vision, but he has a family to support. His son is 3 1/2 and is starting preschool next week. With CJ being unable to work, and the travel expenses back and forth to Utah, Medical bills, Medication, regular financial responsibilities all with no income, he needs some help. We don’t know how long he will be off work, but the bills don’t stop for that. Thankfully at this time he does have medical insurance through his job, but it doesn’t cover everything and this is most definitely not something he expected.

Im asking you, please, if you are able to donate, please help my son. He is a great young man and he is in great need.
