Help Lana Bento fight cancer

For some of those that may not know my mom has been fighting cancer for almost a year now. Her official diagnosis of breast cancer was back in December of 2023. Since then complications have escalated. It started with her right lung collapsing due to fluid buildup around her lungs, leading to sudden surgery for temporary relief and quality of breath. Where she was being seen originally, had to refer her to a different hospital where a surgeon could operate the much needed surgery. She was emitted into the hospital 9/27 and still remains. Things have been hard and struggles have progressed in the process of her healing. As hospital bills stack up due to insurance complications it isn’t certain that it will be covered. We will fight to our best ability in hopes of that happening, but even then there is more financial burden to come to see what possible options stand for her future. In hopes of chemo treatments to help get the cancer under control or a physical therapy center to build back her strength. There is also no income currently since she had to leave her work abruptly as well with my dad not being able to travel out of state for his work to be by her side. We know the Lord will provide. We fully trust and believe in the Lord and that he has the ability to heal her. I pray and hope that his plan truly allows us more time with her. UPDATE 10/11 Healing from the surgery hasn’t really gone as planned. She still remains in the hospital with limited mobility. With constant CT scans and a MRI as of last night it was brought to our attention that the cancer has spread to different parts throughout her body. I won’t go into detail as to where but as doctors have said it’s at an advanced stage. She is undergoing chemo today. Plans of immediate radiation for her brain is being done on Monday and 4 days of it to follow. As well with another round of chemo next Friday. She will be undergoing a lot of treatment at once. Please keep her in your prayers and my family as well.

UPDATE 10/14 She was prepared to undergo radiation today but based on her current state plans have changed. She has been slowly declining this last week. With the help of medical professionals and as a family, we made a collective decision to bring her home. We thought it was best to make her as comfortable as possible surrounded by those who love her. Please continue to pray for her and my family as we face what’s to come.

UPDATE 10/16 She is home!!

UPDATE 10/17 sadly last night my mom passed away. The donation site still stands for remaining hospital bills and now funeral costs to honor her. Thank you to everyone that has prayed for my family. Please continue to pray for us as we mourn.
