Hi, my name is Kristin, and I’m a 54-year-old single mother who jokingly says I have “33 years of experience being 21.”
I’ve spent my life working hard to support myself and my family — most recently as a server. I’ve always believed in showing up, smiling through the tough days, and earning my way forward.
But a few weeks ago, everything changed. I was injured at work, and though the injury happened during my shift, I had already been approved for a 30-day unpaid vacation that began the very next day. Because I didn’t immediately report the injury while I was off, the company’s insurance adjuster is now denying all my benefits — no medical coverage, no temporary income, and no support.
Now, everything I’ve worked for is unraveling.
My vehicle has been repossessed, leaving me without transportation.
Medical bills are piling up as I try to recover.
️ And as of November 4th, I will no longer have a place to live.
I’ve never been the type to ask for help. I’ve always been the one people could count on — the one picking up extra shifts or helping a friend in need. But today, I’m the one in need.
I’m asking for your help to cover the basics:
Temporary housing
Medical expenses
Essentials while I recover and get back to work
Every dollar, every share, and every kind word truly matters right now. Your support will help me get stable again, replace what I’ve lost, and start rebuilding my life.
If you’ve ever faced hard times and wished someone would reach out — that’s what this means to me. Thank you for reading my story, for caring, and for reminding me that hope is still alive. ❤️
With heartfelt gratitude,
Kristin
