Another Update: Liam unfortunately passed away on July 12th at 4:47pm in the arms of his family. Please pray for the family as they go through this tough time.
Update: Liam is back in the hospital and has spiked a fever. He tested positive for covid. They put a stent it to try and get rid of the fluid in his body but unfortunately it isn’t working. Liam will undergo another surgery to put an external drain in. This family needs all the possible prayers and support during this extremely hard time.

Hello, our name is Rose and Angela and we are fundraising for our dear friend Kim and her son Liam. Liam was born on 02/01/2021 and his parents were told that he had down syndrome and that they should abort but Liam’s young parents being only 21 when he was born were ready for whatever because that was still their baby boy. When Liam was born they did genetic testing all the way up until Liam was 7 months and never found anything. At 8 months old Liam and his parents who were both just got out of the Marine Corps made their move back to Ohio. Liam and his mom, Kimberlee, took a flight home and Liam’s dad, Keenan drove from San Diego to Ohio with their three dogs. Liam unfortunately started to get sick, his left eye was very swollen and fevers. They took him to Cleveland clinic and were given antibiotics. Liam seemed to feel better but then had another swelling incident and they told us it was a rash, so we took him home and on November 17th 2021 Liam woke up from a nap very swollen, couldn’t keep anything down so his parents rushed him back to the hospital where they immediately admitted Liam and transported him to Main Campus. From there Liam was intubated for over a month and then started hemo-dialysis before getting a peritoneal dialysis port put in. Liam was diagnosed with SGPL1 a very rare disease with Liam being number 46 in the entire world to be diagnosed. After being on peritoneal dialysis for over two years Liam is finally on the kidney transplant list and his mom, Kimberlee, was just approved to be able to donate her kidney to him. The transplant will be at the end of February beginning of march time frame. They are so excited to see their baby boy thrive even more than he already has, and are so thankful for the love and support from family and friends.

We are raising money to support the food costs and bills when they become a single family income. Kim has been an amazing, strong mother and we’d like to help her be stress free for a little while. She’s been a great friend and she cares so much about her family so this is something we can do to give back to her.

Kim will be out of work for a while and Kennan will need help with meals so we are also organizing a meal train closer to the surgery date if anyone wanted to participate. More on that to come.
