Hi, my name is Kim. I lost my job last year in June. The business I worked for went out of business. I was an Executive Assistant to the CEO.

I have struggled with hundreds of applications and numerous interviews but with not much success. I did get a brief reprieve this past April when I covered for an Office Manager when she went on maternity leave. Unfortunately, that ended August 1st.

Unemployment ran out the first of this year, and we have almost completely depleted our savings and checking.

We are hanging in by a thread. I have a second interview scheduled tomorrow for a job that looks promising, but even if I get it, it is going to take a long time to get completely back on our feet. My husband's SS check each month only covers a couple of credit card bills, and that is it.

Any help you could provide will be much appreciated. I never thought I would be in this kind of situation. We have always been the ones to donate and give to those in need, and now we are the ones in need.
