Hi, my name is Dennis and I'm here today on behalf of my friend and brother Kevin Theis. For the last two months, kevin has been quietly trying to save his leg/legs. Two months ago, Kevin went to the Doctors office with a wound at the bottom of his foot. The wound would not heal and was causing Kevin much pain and discomfort. After some tests, Doctors discovered that Kevin was not getting blood to his foot due to collapsed veins and arteries in Kevin's left leg. More tests were done on Kevin's Heart and doctors discovered a blood clot in Kevin's left ventricle. They immediately began giving Kevin a medicine that would break down the clot in his Heart and thankfully Kevin was able to avoid heart surgery. The tests also confirmed that Kevin's right leg was in dire need of help as well. The only difference between the two legs were that Kevin had a hole in his left leg that will not heal due to lack of blood and oxygen to the foot. The right foot, however, does not have any wounds or cuts so it is not in danger of amputation, as of yet. During the last two months, Kevin has had multiple procedures which produced no results but extreme pain and false hope. He and his Family have been battling this issue as discreetly as they can but now it's time to let his friends know what is going on. I'm starting this fund raiser to help Kevin and his Family with the costs not covered by their insurance and to help them cover any bills while Kevin heals from this. As of now, the prosthetic leg that Kevin is looking at costs over $8,000 dollars. Not sure what his insurance will cover but I'm hoping that enough of us friends can get together and help him and his Family get thru this. I don't have a magic number or goal to reach. I'm just asking that you please donate anything that you can in order to help them in any way possible. No amount is too small and anything sent will be greatly appreciated.
