PLEASE HELP MY BOSS!

3 Surgeries in 10 days!

Hi my name is Brittany and I'm raising funds to help my boss, Justine Walker, from Just In Time Dog Walking & Boarding Services, get back on her feet.

Just In Time has often been rewarded locally by community and newspaper votes. It is a local business in Cambridge, Ontario. We walk dogs and provide other services for animals and their human families.

Justine just had emergency surgery to remove her gangrenous gallbladder and will be out of commission for 4 full weeks. Because she walks dogs for a living, the doctors have told her that she cannot be lifting or be pulled by dogs for at least 4 weeks.

Justine often walks packs of six big dogs so the worry of them jumping up on her and injuring her incisions is also a consideration since they all get excited to see her!

My boss is a massive animal lover and opens her heart to all shapes and sizes. She has rescued rodents from families who did not realize the cost of their care, bearded dragons, snakes and of course, cats and dogs.

A year and a half ago, a big, goofy muddy log steamrolled himself into her life. Muddy is a Chocolate Lab who was exceedingly overweight and experienced trauma when his human parent passed away, leaving Muddy by himself. We do not know how long Muddy spent in the house alone with his unresponsive Dad.

Muddy has been walking with Justine and Prim and often with some of his Just In Time friends.

He has also been on a weight loss journey and had successfully lost over 30 lb with Justine's help and love. Even before the weight loss began, Muddy had this round mass on his abdomen and as he lost weight it started to fall below his body and make contact with the ground.

This mass became infected and had to be bandaged. He was also on antibiotics. Surgery was planned before Justine’s own emergency surgery. After his surgery, Muddy is doing well.

At exactly the same time, Prim, Justine's beloved Bugg, was found to have a large mass in her abdomen surrounding her spleen. Muddy and Prim were literally in the same veterinarian's office having surgery and testing at the same time.

The vets fear a fast moving, aggressive cancer, but it could also be benign. This mass had to be removed IMMEDIATELY on Thursday, the day before Good Friday. Justine was told that it was amazing that this mass had not already ruptured and ended Prim's life. Because this was done at an emergency vet, in the middle of the night, Justine had to pay $7,200 up front before they would even consider doing the needed surgery.

In 10 days Justine experienced her own emergency surgery (removal of her gangrenous gallbladder), found out that she had to take 4 weeks off of work, had Muddy in to have his surgery and her best friend Prim also needed life-saving surgery.

Initially Justine did not know that I was going to begin this GoFundMe, but since she had to spend so much money on Prim’s surgery, I decided that perhaps it was best that she knew, so that we could circulate it more.
