*****UPDATED FROM TORI*****
Sharing our GoFundMe page again, for the sole factor that we’re struggling to make ends meet & get all our bills paid up on time, with Justin being out of work things have been pretty rough. Everyone keeps asking me what to get my daughter for Christmas, and all I can think is how are we going to shower our baby with Christmas gifts when we cannot even afford to pay to keep the roof over our heads & any assistance programs want you to be at least 3 months behind before they’ll help you. Unfortunately disability for Justin is taking forever to kick in & we may or may not even receive anything.
With more possible surgery in the future for Justin & the fact that it’s the holidays & we barely have money to feed ourselves I’m resharing our GoFundMe. If you can’t donate anything if you could please just share it. We’d appreciate it
On August 3rd Justin was in a gruesome motorcycle accident. The severity of his injuries sent him to Baystate via lifestar with multiple compound fractures in his leg and hand. His initial surgery lasted over 7 hours with more surgeries to follow. Justin’s recovery has already shown challenges and in addition to his injuries he has been struggling with fevers, massive amounts of pain, and a blood clot.
We are so thankful he’s still here and alive, but the next 6 months are going to be HARD. Before the accident, Justin was enrolled at Lincoln Tech working on his future in collision and repair- he absolutely loved it. His current employment facilitated his love for the field and made it possible for him to still provide for his family while going to school full time.
His partner, Tori has been exceptional during this tragedy. Keeping up with daily visits to the hospital, caring of their beautiful 2 year-old daughter Elliyanna, and trying to work herself so they don’t lose their home, has been exhausting and exceptionally hard on her through this difficult and emotional time.
I’m hoping our amazing community can come together to take some of the financial burden off of their shoulders. Doctor’s predict it will be at least 3-6 months before Justin can put weight on that leg and the road to recovery will be long. During that time he’ll be residing in a skilled nursing facility and extensive physical therapy will follow.
My hope is to help provide some financial relief for his family as they struggle to maintain bills and cost of living during his recovery. I have known Justin most of my life, our parents raised us together and we’re raising our kids together. He’s my best friend and one of the best men I know. He’s always the first to help another and is always striving to do better for himself and his family. Please donate what you can, and share if you can’t. Any little bit helps and we’re so thankful for all the love and support!
