Donate to Help John "Twist" de Andrade's Family

Hi, my name is March Penn and I am fundraising for my uncle John "Twist" de Andrade and his family as he is in hospice following a brain tumor diagnosis.

Here's some information about my beloved uncle whose folk music and stories fill my heart.

John “Twist” de Andrade, a father, brother, loved one and friend as well as a gifted folk musician needs our help. He is currently in hospice at home with family after being diagnosed with a brain tumor in early December. We’re asking for donations to help John and his family with expenses during this difficult transition he is embarking on.

In December, his son discovered that John was unwell and at the hospital, we learned he has a brain tumor. He has been doing his best to fight it since. He spent over a month in the hospital. Unfortunately, they felt there was nothing more that the medical staff was able to do.

As you know, John is definitely one of a kind. His amazing talent as a musician and songwriter along with his puns and humor makes us laugh, cry and touch our hearts everywhere. He has an incredible intellect, and kind-heartedness and his sweetness are endearing. He is known for his love of food and for introducing everyone to his spicy flavorful food style!

His infinite love and support for his sons Hazel and Dakota, siblings and close friends continue to sustain all with grace and dignity. It is with a heavy heart that we share this message. We know so many people who have known and loved John. We had hoped to bring forth better news at some point. He is comfortable and has been spending time with his loved ones. Please send prayers and thoughts to John as well as share and donate to this campaign.

All proceeds raised will go directly to pay John de Andrade’s medical bills and living expenses to ease the burden on his family in this difficult time.
